New Bus GTFS-R data now available

The Department of Transport and Planning has released updates to Bus GTFS-R data so passengers can access better information on when their next bus is arriving and where it is on the network.

These updated data feeds were released on 22 October 2025 to all open data users:

• GTFS-R Trip Updates: addition of new fields, improved scheduled relationships information (such as when there are added, changed or cancelled services) and changes to StopTimeUpdate fields
• GTFS-R Vehicle Positions: a new data feed to allow real-time bus locations to be tracked and displayed in journey planning apps.

Both data feeds can be accessed as part of the GTFS Realtime via DataVic.
